What Is a Running Pace Calculator?

Held perfectly, that pace produces a 27:30 5K, a 1:56:02 half marathon, and a 3:52:04 marathon. The 5K projection is actually conservative — you can run a shorter race faster than 10K pace — while the marathon figure is ambitious for the opposite reason.

The most reliable racing strategy is the negative split: running the second half slightly faster than the first. Almost every distance world record has been set this way.
